As part of the government's initiative to implement e-procurement, you can now register free to an electronic system which will allow you to tender for public sector contracts

The Met Office Procurement Standing Orders set out how Met Office will procure under varying situations and categories, these are published in the attachments section.

The Prime Minister has asked all government departments to publish a wide range of information about how they meet and measure their objectives and use their resources to better deliver value for money and reduce the deficit. In accordance with this commitment to transparency, the Met Office publishes its contract information via the Contract Finder website http://www.contractsfinder.businesslink.gov.uk.
